Roadside Mowing

At the Town of Sullivan, our roadside mowing program is a year-round commitment to safety and community pride. Beginning in the spring when the grass starts to grow, our dedicated crews systematically work through each stretch of roadway, ensuring that overgrown vegetation does not obscure visibility or impede safe driving conditions. This proactive effort not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of our town but also contributes significantly to maintaining clear sightlines, reducing potential hazards, and promoting overall roadway safety from spring through fall.
Due to the extensive network of roads under our care, completing the mowing process typically takes 2 to 3 weeks. We kindly ask residents to be patient and courteous during this period, as our teams work diligently to bring every road up to standard. Your cooperation and understanding are invaluable as we strive to create safer, more accessible roadways for all, ensuring that our community remains a welcoming and secure place to live and travel.
Street Sweeping

Street sweeping kicks off at the conclusion of the plow season, generally occurring just once each year. This service plays a vital role in clearing road debris, ensuring clean streets, and preventing blockages in gutters and drains. While it only happens annually, it helps maintain the roadway’s safety and aesthetic for all.
If you come across excessive debris or have specific concerns regarding clean-up, our office is committed to addressing your needs. Feel free to contact us via phone or email for prompt assistance.

Driveway Culvert and Pipe Installation

Proper drainage is crucial for maintaining both the safety and longevity of our roads, which is why the Town offers a comprehensive culvert pipe installation service for driveways. Property owners are responsible for purchasing the required culvert pipe, but the Town takes care of the installation to ensure it is done correctly and efficiently.
To get started, property owners must complete and submit a Work Request Form. Once submitted, a Town representative will visit the property to assess the site and determine the appropriate size of the culvert pipe based on the specific conditions of the location. This evaluation also ensures that the driveway meets all necessary sight distance requirements for optimal safety.
The culvert pipe helps manage water runoff, preventing potential flooding, erosion, and damage to both the driveway and surrounding roads. Proper installation and maintenance is essential for the drainage system to function effectively, and the Town is dedicated to making sure your driveway is built with these vital considerations in mind.
For more details or to request a site evaluation, please use or online Work Request form. We’re here to help ensure your new driveway is properly installed and safely integrated into the community’s infrastructure.
